During the deployment of Telecom or security or smart city networks, it became necessary to provide battery backup in the event of a power outage. It was also made mandatory to locate such batteries outside of existing roadside cabinet locations. As a result, the Watertight underground battery boxes were created to provide a safe underground environment for backup batteries. A dual-skin watertight structural product for installation alongside the cabinet and a single-skin box where batteries can be placed in the cabinet’s void at the base.
